New Documentary Series Features Luxury Vacation Homes, Properties and Destinations



SAN FRANCISCO, CA – April 29, 2025 – VACATION OASIS, a new documentary series that explores the world of upscale vacation homes, boutique hotels and nearby attractions is gearing up for its U.S. debut of its first episode on May 1, 2025 on Comcast Xfinity. The series presents commentary from top designers, architects, developers and owners who have designed and built luxury homes and hospitality businesses, and realtors who sell these properties.  Each episode will feature vacation properties in gorgeous locales, delving into the aesthetics of each featured home, vacation property and its surroundings. The first season of this five-part series explores the beautiful wine country of Northern California, with filming that took place throughout Napa and Sonoma Counties.


The first season of VACATION OASIS features interviews with an unprecedented cross-section of local influencers, leaders and creatives in the hospitality, architecture, travel and vacation home industries, including architect Jim McCalligan, whose firm has designed over 400 custom homes in and around the region. The series showcases custom properties designed by McCalligan and his team. The premiere episode takes viewers to Napa Valley, with featured luxury homes in St. Helena, Yountville, and Calistoga, and nearby winery Silverado Vineyards.


Additional commentary and profiles in future episodes include local winemakers from some of the top wineries in Sonoma and Napa Counties, and nationally recognized chefs who own and operate top restaurants in Sonoma and the tony wine country town of Healdsburg, including Chef Dustin Valette, owner of The Matheson, Valette, and Valette Wines.
